Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and the developer of Glance ("Glance," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Glance: SAT® Vocab Prep and Glance: IELTS® Vocab Prep on iOS and Android (collectively, the "Apps").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using an App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Apps.

The Apps are supplemental educational vocabulary practice tools. Glance SAT focuses on high-impact Digital SAT Reading & Writing vocabulary. Glance IELTS focuses on IELTS Academic vocabulary, including register, word forms, and contextual use.

The Apps are not a replacement for official test materials, a teacher, tutor, course, school, or comprehensive preparation program. They do not provide full SAT or IELTS exam simulation, including listening, speaking, writing, or reading test administration.

Glance does not guarantee any SAT score increase, IELTS band result, admission outcome, scholarship, or other educational result. Outcomes depend on many factors, including your preparation, prior knowledge, effort, test conditions, and performance. SAT® and IELTS® are trademarks of their respective owners; those organizations do not sponsor or endorse Glance.

You may use the Apps if you can legally agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising a minor's use where required by law.

Glance does not require you to create an account. Learning data is stored on your device as described in the Privacy Policy.

Subject to these Terms and your applicable subscription, Glance grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the applicable App on compatible Apple devices or Android devices that you own or control.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works from the Apps except where applicable law does not permit that restriction.

Widgets and local notifications are optional features. Vocabulary may appear on your Home Screen or Lock Screen where supported by your device and operating system. Anyone who can see your device may see widget content. You are responsible for your device security and notification settings. Widget and notification behavior may vary by platform, device, and OS version.

7.1 Store billing

Subscriptions, free trials, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, charges, and refunds are processed by the platform store: iOS through the Apple App Store and your Apple Account; Android through Google Play and your Google account. Glance does not collect or store your payment card or bank details. RevenueCat is used only to manage entitlement status and restore access; it does not process your card payment.

7.2 Auto-renewal and cancellation

Unless canceled, a store-managed subscription may automatically renew at the price shown at purchase. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancellation usually leaves access active through the current paid period.

7.3 Store-managed free trial

If an App offers a store-managed free trial, Apple or Google may require a valid payment method. Unless canceled before the trial ends, the trial may convert to the paid plan displayed at signup. Eligibility and trial length may vary by region and store rules.

7.4 Three-day full access pass

The App may offer a separate 3-day full access pass during onboarding. It requires no payment method, does not create an Apple or Google Play subscription, and stores its expiration locally on your device, typically for 72 hours. When it ends, premium access requires a store subscription. This pass is separate from any store-managed free trial.

If you download an App through Apple, these Terms are between you and Glance, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the App. To the extent required by Apple's App Store terms, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

You must use the App only on Apple products you own or control and as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

If you download an App through Google Play, these Terms are between you and Glance, not Google. Google is not responsible for support or maintenance of the App, and Google is not responsible for claims relating to the App except as required by applicable law. Google may be a third-party beneficiary of these Terms for enforcement of applicable Google Play requirements.

You must use the App only on compatible Android devices you own or control and in accordance with Google Play's terms and policies.

Your use of the Apps is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Learning data is designed to remain on-device and is not synced to a Glance account. Deleting an App may permanently delete local progress, subject to platform backup behavior.

You may not use the Apps unlawfully, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or redistribute their content, bypass subscription controls, or use them to infringe another person's rights.

Glance and its licensors own the Apps, software, design, branding, vocabulary content, explanations, examples, and other materials, except for third-party materials. These Terms grant a license to use the Apps; they do not transfer ownership.

The Apps may use or link to Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, social platforms, or other third-party services. Those services have their own terms and policies, and Glance is not responsible for their independent operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Apps are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free content, compatibility with every device, or any educational outcome.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glance and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or educational opportunities arising from your use of the Apps. Our total liability for claims relating to the Apps will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Glance for the relevant App or subscription during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Glance and its contributors from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Apps, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person's rights.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, content, or an App. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version at https://www.glanceprep.com/terms with a new effective date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any permitted dispute will be handled in the courts located in Delaware, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
